2010 will be starting with pre-season testing at Circuit d'Osona in Spain
on the very latest gearbox chassis from Sodi
This year Jamie will be racing Formula 125 ICC UK in 2010.
Our season will start in anger with test sessions at Forest Edge, Rissington and Shennington
ahead of a full season of 125 gearbox racing in both the ABkC and NKF Championships.
It is our intial plan to use the race proven TM Racing Engine and Gearbox
looked after by Andy Fairless Racing.
Scott will hopefully be able to race Rotax this season.
Work commitments permitting
He will be competing in Club events at Forest Edge plus early season events at
Rissington and Shennington.
Scott will also be testing 125 ICC Gearbox Karts during this season,
with a view to moving over along with Jamie

** ENGINE CHANGE FOR NKF ROUND 2 AT RISSINGTON **
We have arranged to hire a latest spec Pavesi Venticinque (25) Evolution
for the bank holiday weekend from Ian Beaumont at Eurokart.
We are hoping to put the poor performances of the S4 first round at Forest Edge
and more recently the first round of the NKF championship at Shenington behind us.
For that matter we are hoping to put pretty much everyone behind us,
and if this goes well,
we will be looking to buy our own Pavesi from Ian very soon too.
Lets hope we get the results we have been working toward for so long this weekend.
** PAVESI ENGINE AT KIMBOLTON **
The Pavesi proved to be a very different proposition for Jamie
to drive competitively in the NKF round 2 at Rissington.
The very different power characteristics of the Pavesi compared to the TM
took longer for Jamie to get used to and we only managed 13th in the Final .
Which was no better than Shennington 2 weeks earlier using our own TM K9B.
That said it was inconclusive as a test and we decided to try again
and arranged to use a Pavesi engine again at the Club meeting at Kimbolton
on the 8th-9th of May. Jamie has only driven Kimbolton a couple of times
but has never raced gearbox there before.
From the first moment the kart hit the track Jamie appeared faster and more at
ease with the engine's power band, all be it on Saturday all of the running was wet.
Sunday morning was bright and the track had dried, we felt very optimistic about having a good day.
Our first heat went well until the engine partially siezed and sent Jamie off the track at the end of
the back straight, spitting Jamie clean off the track from 3rd place on lap 4.
He rejoined not having realised what had happened and continued to finish 13th.
But had showed great speed until then, Ian had set our mixture just a fraction lean.
Ian repaired the engine and heat 2 was looking good for 3rd when lining up Dane Smith
on the last lap it got away from him and he spun out, re-starting to bring it home in 8th.
The 3rd heat didn't happen for us, we leaked fuel all over our grid spot once we stared the kart,
From a fuel line that had been routed too close to the ground, and had worn through.
By the time we repaired this the race had started
So it was all to do in the final, starting from the back in 13th place.
Jamie made steady progress throughout the race and again found himself on Dane Smith tail
in the closing stages, 13th to 4th terrific drive and a good race
As for the engine, outstanding, Pavesi supplied and tuned by Ian Beaumont at Eurokart
2nd fastest lap of the race to the winner and highest gain in spaces for the 125's.
